“Inception” the movie of 2010!

Christopher Nolan hot off the Batman series, The Dark Knight, produced this US$200 million movie where he also wrote the story (on off since 16 years old – this is another story) and directed this Summer Blockbuster of a movie. And I just watched it and it is to me if the only movie to watch for the rest of the year, this would be it, “Inception”. Starring a host of mega stars, leading the pack is Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eilen Page, Tom Hardy, Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger Marion Cotillard and even Michael Caine, music score done so excellently by Hans Zimmer that add to the suspense of the movie. Filmed internationally in over 6 countries that include, USA, UK, Japan, France, Morocco and Canada.

Why I liked the movie? It is totally original, fresh idea and the art of filming wins you back to the cinema, it is a breathtaking piece of work, both visually stunning and emotionally captivating. The story is well thought out, written and executed on film.

Spoiler alert ahead, stop reading this and go to the movies for pete’s sake!

Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible — inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.
